What will you be buying for your special Valentine this year? Americans dish out billions of dollars each year to express their love for each other. You may be spending more for Valentine’s Day gifts this year than last, if the National Retail Federation’s projections are any indication.

NRF predicts that U.S. consumers will spend a total of $19.6 billion on Valentine’s Day this year; in 2017, the total was only $18.2.

Here’s a look at how people spent their money on this holiday in 2016.
